Sales Assistant
Candlewick Press seeks a motivated and highly organized professional to fill a newly created sales assistant role supporting our National Account Manager and North American Licensing Director. We are looking for a creative and energetic person who is willing to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while being deadline orientated. The position will primarily be responsible for assisting in executing all selling efforts, front-list and backlist, to Amazon, through sharing information and materials, as well as working with this account through their reporting tool to optimize the sales and exposure of Candlewick titles on the site. This position will also secondarily support various licensing initiatives and projects that the Director of Licensing oversees.

Specific responsibilities include:
- Review key titles on Amazon.com and in vendor reporting tool
- Assist in creating weekly sales reports and other regular reporting needs
- Create sales kits for regular account mailings and solicitations
- Create title and brand presentations
- Support account manager in submitting account special offers
- Support account manager in coop administration
- Assist in meeting prep which includes preparing presentations, gathering materials, etc.
- Analyze and distribute sales reporting
- Assist in creating merchandising and offers to support frontlist and backlist sales
- Liaise with sales operations for Amazon account data
- Liaise with marketing to keep on top of key mailing/outreach dates around trade show announcements
- Assist with outreach/contact with key current and potential licensing partners
- Coordinate details for attending Licensing Show / Toy Fair
- Assist in delivering assets to licensing partners
- Create and maintain an in-house library of licensed products

Requirements:
This is an entry level position based in our Boston office. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required along with strong Microsoft Office computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint. The ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively within a deadline orientated environment is necessary. An interest in children's publishing sales is strongly preferred.
