Part-time Accounts Payable Specialist
Candlewick Press, a leading publisher of books for children located in Somerville, MA, seeks a motivated professional to join our team on a part-time basis to provide Accounts Payable support services to ensure efficient, accurate and timely processing of author, illustrator and vendor invoices and preparation of supporting reports and spreadsheets. The role will include assisting with reviewing, entering and reconciling invoices and vendor statements, and reviewing and processing corporate credit card transactions.
We seek candidates with the following skills and experience: a minimum of two years of experience in accounts payable and account reconciliations; strong computer skills including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with multiple accounting software systems; exceptional organization and detail orientation skills along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow; excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience in general ledger journal entry preparation, and strong account reconciliation and analyses. A two or four year degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field of study or equivalent work experience is strongly preferred.
This is a part-time role totaling approximately 21 hours per week and is based from our Somerville, MA location.
